Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at a state-of-the-art, fully autonomous ice manufacturing facility. This is a critical, hands-on role focused on monitoring the robotic production line, executing preventive maintenance (PM), and performing multi-craft repairs. Crucially, this position is viewed as a potential direct training path to a future Site Lead/Supervisor role, managing a small team and facility operations. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong technical background and a desire for leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor the operational efficiency of the autonomous robotic manufacturing line.
- Execute periodic resupply of production consumables, including lifting and moving material weighing up to 70 lbs. in and out of sub-zero freezer environments (as low as 20°F / -7°C).
- Assist with staging and preparation for product delivery as needed.
- Adhere strictly to FDA and IPIA food safety and cleanliness standards, including basic cleaning and monitoring for biological hazards and contamination.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance (PM) on facility assets, including industrial robots, conveyors, motors, pumps, and facility systems (refrigeration, HVAC, etc.).
- Execute multi-craft troubleshooting and repairs across:
- Mechanical Systems: motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Electrical Systems: basic diagnostics and repair of control panels, sensors, and low/high-voltage systems (up to 480V).
- Plumbing Systems: minor facility and process plumbing maintenance.
- Read and accurately interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to diagnose and resolve equipment faults.
Leadership & Facility Development
- Receive direct training from the facility designers and engineers on system operations.
- Provide support for daily production, often working independently with minimal supervision.
- Serve as a key contributor, providing direct input on process improvements for the current facility and future company projects.
- Exhibit the independence and motivation required to operate as the primary on-site technical resource.
Qualifications
